Which career clues are most useful?

Do not treat the club name in isolation. The displayed year separates players from different eras at the same club. When another stop appears, test your first guess against it: if the player does not connect both clubs, think again.

Look beyond the club most associated with a star. Early-career clubs and short spells can be useful clues. For well-travelled players, connecting two neighbouring stops is often easier than recalling an entire career at once.
